Early November

Here are a few pictures from Evie's girl scout bridging ceremony from daisies to brownies. The girls were so cute and funny. Evie's role was to lead them in a brownie smile song.
She also worked really hard to memorize her part of the girl scout promise to recite.

These girls are so much fun, and their leader is the best!
The girls had the annual turkey trot at school the first week in November. I visited Kiersten in her class, but forgot to get a picture.
Woohoo 4th grade!
It was the nicest day we've had for turkey trot in a few years. The kids were excited to run!
Off they go! Kiersten came in #34 in her grade.

After running home for a bit, it was time to head back to the school to visit Evie in her classroom.

The second grade is huge, so it took a while to get them all lined up. They are a lively group!

Can you spot Evie. She's in red leggings.
They were excited to run with the school's new mascot. He's an Eagle, but his name escapes me.
I didn't get to stay to watch her finish because I had to head home to let the A/C-heater guy in the house. She finished #18 in her grade which is pretty good with over 90 kids.
She won a trophy for being the closest guess as to what her time would be. She guessed 8:53, and came in at 8:54.

Kiersten made a beautiful sidewalk chalk creation, and wanted me to get a picture to immortalize it.
