Baseball City

We got to attend the Cards home opener again this year. I was concerned for Ben's foot, but he got around fine.
It's nice to get out in the fresh air.
The clydesdales are obviously the real reason to be there.
And I do have about 40 pictures of my equine friends.
We saw a rickshaw as we were leaving the game, which was so nice, because Ben was really starting to hurt. Also, he was walking SO. SLOW.
Kiersten and the Woerther special chorus performed at a game, so we all went to that.
We always run into so many school friends.

The singers were so happy and full of energy ahead of their performance.

All set to hit the field!
I was relieved it wasn't too cold or too warm. We've had to sit through a couple doozies weather-wise.

Obviously they sounded A-mazing!
I love her!
Kara ditched us, and found some boys from school to sit with. I kept an eye on things, though.

I have to admit it's pretty fun to live in a baseball city.

How We Ring In The Month Of April

April Fool's Day happened again this year. I decided to make rice krispie treat "chicken legs" and served that with vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce. The "butter" on top is just a yellow starburst.
They had to eat all their dinner before they could get at this yummy dessert! Ok, I know this one is a fail. This pizza ring was supposed to look like a cake, and it didn't. The sauce seeped out everywhere, and the cheese looked sooo cheesy. Oh well. No one was fooled.
For some reason I never plan ahead for this. I end up doing something every year, and yet, I'm always rushing to the store at the last minute. . I guess April just sneaks up on me. Since I didn't have cornflakes, I used raisin bran for the drumsticks, and had to sit and take out all the raisins. I dipped pretzel rods in white chocolate for the bone, and stuck mini marshmallows on the end.
They do try to play along, bless their hearts.

They all said, "Chicken, my favorite!"
In fairness to me, I don't know that there's much I could do to trick Kara on April Fool's Day anymore. She is so suspicious.
Evie said it was the best chicken she's ever eaten.

Miami, Once Again

We had a day in Miami after the cruise, so we just hung out at the hotel and had a relaxing day.
They never seem to get sick of swimming.

We pretty much had the pool to ourselves, so that's always nice.

We had the most delicious food. I felt horrible that we couldn't eat all this, and had to leave a fair amount behind the next day when we flew back to STL.
Ahh Spring Break, come back!

Castaways Once Again

I am always anxious to return to Castaway Cay, my home away from home. Nobody ran the 5k this time, so we just headed straight to the beach.
We honestly don't have that many photos with Daisy Duck, so when we ran into her on our way off the ship, we definitely wanted to stop. She had no line.
Of course Minnie Mouse has to show everyone up in her adorable bathing suit.

I love to see all the different flowers.

You can't hide from me, Disney Magic.

The kids just swam and hung out in the clubs on the beach, so Ben and I spent a lot of time on the adult beach. They had sand wheelchairs, which was nice to not need the scooter, but they are so hard to push. Luckily, people offered to help me push when they saw me struggling.

The chocolate and champagne tasting is always time well spent.

Evie got to play wheel of fortune. She was slightly nervous.
Luckily it's the easiest game ever and she totally killed it for our team!
Isn't it romantic?
