New Fun For A New Year

We started the year off with lots of games and family time with Nic and Angie and her girls. We see them so infrequently, so we try to make the most of our time together. 

Root beer floats never get turned down in our house!

We took the kids to see the Bumblebee movie, and then went to the mall for Laynee to do some birthday shopping. The girls wanted to stay in the lego store FOREVER. 

The Hoveys had to leave the morning of Laynee's birthday. We wanted to make it a fun morning for her before travelling home. 

The girls made a few decorations, and I got it all set up while they were getting ready for school. 

I told the girls to go down and wake her up. They ensured that the birthday girl was the first one to emerge from the basement. 

I totally made her run through the streamers too. 

Kara was already at school, but Evie and Kiersten gave her a few gifts they picked out for her. 

After my girls headed off to school, we had time to play a few games and enjoy the morning before I had to take them to the airport. 

We're so happy they were able to come spend some time with us!
