Christmas Eve Elv-ery

Because we ended our trip to De Soto a day early, we were home all day for Christmas Eve. It made for a very nice, relaxed day.
Ben made yummy chili in the crock pot.
My #1 Chiefs fan, haha.
The girls were so pretty in their pastels.

We made rice krispie trees in the cutest little tree pans that were on clearance at the grocery store.

It's such an easy treat for all of them to help with.

Didn't that turn out cute? Maybe next year we'll put a cake in one of our cake pans.
Ben got out the giant Christmas coloring book.

That kept them busy for at least 15 minutes.
Jingles' favorite place to be is inside a cardboard box.
I told Ben if he left the krispie trees alone long enough, they might get to be covered in melted chocolate.
After lunch, the girls rolled our some sugar cookie dough to make some fun Christmas cookies for Santa.
They baked up nicely.
The trees survived Ben's munchies, so the girls melted chocolate chips to top them with.
They did a nice job setting the table for dinner.
My favorite little elves.
They're a little kooky...
And I totally condone it.
Yum yum time. We had some lovely chili dogs, made by Ben. He's the best. Aren't we fancy with our chili dogs and sparkling grape juice?
After dinner, the girls got busy decorating the cookies.
They all wanted the honor of decorating the best cookies that would be deemed "Santa worthy".

After driving around to look at Christmas lights, we got to open our new pjs. The girls also got new slippers.

I had to buy Kara adult pjs and adult sized slippers. It still feels funny.
We made a great looking polar bear family.
All warm and toasty to end our fabulous Christmas Eve together.
Jingles was happy to have the tree back. She just loves sitting under it. She is a Christmas cat, after all.

Only the best cookies made the cut.
Kiersten left the funniest note for Santa this year. "Thank you for coming to our house this night. Take some cookies and drink some milk. Merry Christmas Santa, we wish you good health. The Millers".
But the best part was the post script, "I didn't mean it when I said I hate Christmas. Kiersten".
I could just die laughing.

I love my snuggle crew!
