Four Square Rum Distillery

Before our trip, Ben had worked out a plan for visiting 4 rum distilleries while in Barbados. Once we got there, we wanted to do other things, so since we'd already been to Mt. Gay previously, we decided to go to the Four Square distillery. It was a bit of a drive, so we got a taxi to bring us.
Ben says this is the picture that is on the label. I have not confirmed, but I'm sure he's correct.

This building used to be a rum shop and everyone would have to sneak in the secret side door on Sundays with a special knock. It's set up as a museum and I enjoyed looking around in there. I also think a rum shop sounds much nicer than a bar.
This is inside the museum. It was cool to learn about the history of the island.

Ben likes a lot of the drinks they make here, so he was excited to go.

Inside the distillery was the most interesting part. They are very efficient.
There was a case with all of their award winning rums.
Look at all that rum. There were 5 or 6 of these huge drums.
And of course all of these barrels. The smell of the barrels was pleasant. It was the nicest smelling room in the whole place. All of these barrels hold 2013 rum.

Next time we'll tour the Malibu distillery!
