Time to Tailgate

We've been lucky to have pleasant weather for all of the KC Chiefs games we've gone over to this year. We don't go again until December, so I don't have high hopes for it to be nice. Kiersten was happy to win a bacon headband. She did not want to take it off.
McDonald's has a fun game in the Ford Fan Zone this year. We have won lots of free happy meals and Big Macs. Evie is not very good at it.
Kara does play pretty well.

Ben and Evie challenged Kara and Kiersten in giant beer pong, or whatever they called it. It was giant beer pong.

We love a good win! We always go home with our ears ringing, so we might as well get a win out of it, right?
The girls were excited to get pulled out of school early when we went to the Monday Night Football game. We didn't go to the second MNF game, because I didn't want them to miss school again. We need the Chiefs to play fewer prime time games, lol. They were less excited about trying to sleep in the car as we drove home late after the game so they could go to school on Tuesday morning. There was some grumpiness going on that day.

I was so worried when the game looked like it was going to overtime. So we were happy not just to win, but for the game to be done, ha!
I much prefer the Sunday morning games so we have plenty of time to drive home afterward and get everyone to bed at their normal time.
Ben and Kiersten got to be on the sidelines for the game against the Steelers, so I got to goof around with Kara and Evie.

Evie wanted to get her face painted. She asked for a Chiefs unicorn. The lady was super nice, and said she'd do her best.
So that turned out... nice... not at all creepy.
We played some corn hole and then headed in to the stadium. I read later about really long lines, and people having to wait forever to get in. I don't know how our timing was, but we didn't wait more than 5 minutes to get in the gate, and were in our seats before kick off. The girls really wanted to be in there for the jet flyover.

GO CHIEFS!
