The GOTR Girls

It is so much fun coaching Girls On The Run. This year Kiersten and Evie both participated. 

When Kiersten got to take her team lion home for the weekend, she wanted her picture with him everywhere she went. Here she is with "Magic" the lion at Evie's soccer practice. 

He also attended her soccer game. 

And he traveled with us to Kansas City. 

Evie's team lion was named, "Roary Flippindore". She actually won her team lion in the raffle at the end of the season, and changed his name to "Scarlet". 

We practiced starting at 7:30AM, and the girls were mostly happy and energetic. 

We had lots of fun times. 

Some mornings it was roasting, and eventually, the girls were freezing, but they were such good sports, regardless. 

I just adore all of these girls, and it's so fun to get to know them all. 

For the service project this year, we participated in a "walk" fundraiser for a girl that attends their school. They all made pages for her to go  into a book as well. 

The practice 5K is always a fun morning. It was so rainy the previous day, but we had a nice run.
