Back in Kansas City

First, here is a picture of Kara with really blue hair. After dying her ends blue over the summer, she decided to really go for it. This was supposed to wash out in 10 washes. After almost 2 months, it had barely faded, and she started washing it constantly, using baking soda, using head and shoulders, and anything else she could come up with. It is still not completely out, but faded a lot once she started trying to get it out in time for Halloween.
She came home from school all surprised that she got a lot of attention about her hair. One of her friends got upset about it. I don't know if she was expecting people not to notice? We've always called her "Little Bear", but now I like to call her "Blue Bear". She loves that, ha.
Maybe she was inspired by this self portrait she drew several months back. I can imagine her thinking, "wow that looks great! I'd love to have blue hair in real life!".
Getting back to the point of this post, we drove out to Kansas City for the first game of the season. Some friends of ours went too, so it was fun to meet up with them.
We all tailgated together. The weather was great.
Kiersten and her buddy got matching sweatshirts. It's one of Kiersten's favorite things to wear now.

Evie and her buddy got matching hats.
It's exciting to run into the Rumble on our way into the game.

We had tickets for the Season Ticket Member Tailgate. We got in there fairly late, but there were still drinks left, and some cheese and crackers.
Kara enjoyed the music they were playing. Lots of rock anthems.

We have new seats this year, so that is always fun to get there and meet the new people we sit by.

It was a great game. Who doesn't love a win?
