poor baby! :(

Ben has been taking walks with the girls lately when he gets home from work. I love it because I can finish making dinner in peace. A few nights ago, Evie came back with this fresh scrape on her face. He said her shoe came off and she tripped. It doesn't seem to be bothering her though. I was glad her burn was mostly healed, and about ready to get family pictures taken. Now we'll have to wait a little longer. Kiersten wanted her picture taken too. It has finally been sunny this week, so the kids have been playing in the backyard a lot.

Today I let them eat lunch outside. Evie got to have her first picnic with the other girls. She was kinda naughty at first, grabbing their food, and making a mess. She did calm down and come sit in my lap to be fed her lunch. I was surprised she ate any of it after eating half of Kiersten's corn dog and several chips.

It was interesting to see Kiersten getting terrorized by someone else for once. She didn't know quite what to do with Evie coming so aggressively after her food. I think she'll be glad at dinner when Evie gets put in the highchair again.

I thought this was a funny, if not the most flattering picture of Evie. She was still pouting from having found Kiersten on my lap trying to eat her corndog in peace. Look at that sad owie!!

After lunch they ran around and played for a while.

We haven't quite gotten over our colds yet, but everyone is starting to feel a little better. The girls are mostly done with their coughs, and having a fun day to celebrate. Kara asked if I would take a picture of her cleaning her room. But when I went in there, they were already done cleaning, and busy playing. She got this spelling toy for her birthday from Grandma Van Sickle. she really likes playing with it.

All it took was one look out the window for Kara to notice it wasn't raining today. Of course, she asked if they could eat their lunch outside. I try to let them take advantage of the sunny days when we get them, and they are starting to be more and more frequent. This week is supposed to be pretty nice. It may seem strange to eat spaghetti outside, but it worked pretty well for them.

Kara was doing so much running around and jumping, that I started to feel tired just sitting there, watching her.

Kiersten loves finding clovers in the grass. She says, "look, I find a wucky!" (lucky). She always finds a few for me. Today she also picked a few blades of grass for me and said, "here. for you, mama." I love my new lounge chair. I am more willing to sit back there with them for longer now that I can be comfortable, and read while they play.Kara really wanted to find a 4 leaf clover today, but was unsuccesful. they were blowing bubbles, and one popped on my camera lense. I thought i had it cleaned off good, but now I can see some spots in the pictures. I'll have to go back and re clean it.

now the girls are having quiet time after so much playing in the sun. They defintely miss Daddy at work, but I'm glad they're enjoying their day so much. Hopefully it will be a nice weekend, and we can take them to the park to try out their new kites from the easter bunny!

Today Kara asked me if I was her fairy godmother. I said, "sure, I guess so." Then she asked if I would make her wish come true. I said I probably would and asked what her wish was. She thought about it for a minute, and then said her wish was to have a picnic. We are probably going to have one tomorrow, but I didn't think it would hurt to have a preview today in the backyard. If you look closely at the top of Kiersten's head, you can see that her hair is starting to grow. I probably wont have a bald baby by the end of the year. :(

As soon as I took the close-up of Kiersten, Kara got excited and started saying, "my turn! my turn!"

Kara is a nice big sister to let Kiersten ride her bike. Kiersten pushed Kara on it later. It was easier for Kiersten to push because Kara was pedalling too.

This is the beginning of a race. They love running races against each other.

Of course Kara always wins, but Kiersten never gives up until she reaches the finish.

I told her that's not very nice and not to kill the bug. She said okay, but then stomped on it anyway! I asked her why she would do that when I told her not to. She said, "I didn't kill him mom. I just destroyed him instead."
